The College bicycle float and Scrap Band, St Pauls Carnival 2011
Spoke n Chain took the College project out to play at St.Pauls Carnival
and fulfilled the dream of Dr Scrap to have a 'scrap band troupe' at St.Pauls Carnival

Bristols First Freewheelin' Carnival
As a direct result of a successful bicycle troupe at St.Pauls Carnival 2009 this fantastic costumed bicycle parade took place during the first Bristol Cycle Festival in 2010. The Carnival was made possible with the help from the BCC Neighbourhood Arts team, freshly trained up bicycle costuming 'experts' from 'My First Bicycle School of Art' and everyone who took part. It is still going, now under a new name - Carnivelo.

Hartcliffe Spooky Illuminations
Halloween Stockwood and Hartcliffe Spooky Parade 2009

Weymouth Carnival September 2009
We got invited to bring our bicycle carnival float to Weymouth Carnival
to inspire local carnival groups to go truck free and be more creative.

Cap'n Bikebeard and the Sea of Love
This is where it all began at St.Pauls carnival 2009,
and Spoke n Chain was formed, we built carnival bikes, got a crew together, ran bicycle costuming workshops with Bristol Bike Project.
We got commissioned by Cycling City to create a bicycle section for the Carnival with the support of Neighbourhood Arts, Bristol City Council.
